The Montessori Nido Community (nido meaning nest in Italian) provides a safe, nurturing relationship between child and adult and the growing sense of the child’s self.
Montessori Nido Community
Within the Nido community, an environment is created in which a child ages eight weeks to about 15 months will learn to:
- Sit independently while eating lunch and or snack
- Move and use hands purposefully
- Crawl and walk confidently
- Listen to rich and precise language through the use of books, songs, and more
- Explore their environment safely and securely

We work as a team
Once a child can walk independently and becomes ready for new challenges, a transition from infancy to toddler begins. We work as a team along with the parents to put the child on the “toddler” schedule and begin a transition that doesn’t rush the child but allows them to settle into their new community at their own pace.
